Working to a Click
Her debut album “Working to a Click” is released under her own label Full Colour Music. Mary Lovett is an unusual singer songwriter. The album is sophisticated and playful, taking influences from folk blues, jazz and soul and everyday life. This coupled with her distinctive vocal style will be sure to evoke an emotional response, whether you are moved to laugh or cry.
Her Lyrics are intelligent, heartfelt and at times humorous. She takes an irreverent look at sexual deviance in her track “Feeder.” Then taking a nostalgic look at the 80’s Hit TV show Fame, with her song “Bruno Martelli”. She is a great believer in positive thought and this is reflected in her song “Flying in Full Colours.”
